For the Chicken Marinade:
1½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast or thighs, cut into 1-inch pieces
3 tbsp olive oil
Juice of 1 lemon
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 tbsp red wine vinegar (optional)
2 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
For Serving:
Warm pita bread
Tzatziki sauce
Sliced red onion
Chopped tomatoes
Shredded lettuce or cucumber (optional)
Crumbled feta cheese (optional)
Preparation
🔥 Instructions:
1. Marinate the Chicken
In a large bowl or ziplock bag, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, vinegar, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Add chicken pieces, toss to coat, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best flavor).
2. Skewer and Grill
Thread marinated chicken onto skewers.
Grill over medium-high heat for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally until nicely charred and cooked through.(You can also broil or pan-fry if you don’t have a grill.)
3. Serve
Stuff grilled chicken into warm pita with tzatziki, onion, tomato, and other toppings.
Serve as wraps, on a platter, or with a side of rice and salad.
✅ Tips:
Use metal or pre-soaked wooden skewers.
For added flavor, sprinkle extra oregano and a drizzle of olive oil before serving.
Great with lemon potatoes or Greek salad on the side.
